Carmen is equipped with the qualifications to impart to her students in order for them to effectively partner with their mounts and excel in competitive riding. Educated in general stewardship courses through Equine Canada ensures safety holds paramount in her daily practice. Carmen has adopted a meticulous approach in her coaching methods, starting with the fundamentals. Whether teaching novice or intermediate riders, she believes in tailoring her instruction to suit each rider's unique needs. National Certified Competition Coach (NCCP) and Equestrian Canada-licensed coach valid and renewed annually.
Professional Training
Carmen is known for her skilled approach and aptitude for reading horses, she has welcomed horses from various disciplines into her program. Over the years Carmen has successfully started and trained hundreds of horses. Carmen excels in starting young horses, finding great joy in watching them learn and develop. A significant part of her work involves retraining problematic horses and correcting poor starts. Earning back a horses trust and equipping them with the skills to excel in their intended disciplines is a source of pride for Carmen. She considers it a privilege to give mishandled or troubled horses the tools they need to thrive. Carmen's expertise extends to the highest levels of sport, particularly show jumping where she has successfully brought along even the most challenging of horses. Her confident approach emphasizes building bonds, trust, and understanding, ensuring every horse in her care reaches its full potential.
